Depositing Crypto
Learn how to deposit cryptocurrency into your Axal account
This guide walks you through how to transfer your existing USDC into Axal for the purposes of generating yield or self-custody. You will create or sign in to your account, your smart wallet will be created for you, then you will fund it by scanning the wallet QR code or copying the wallet address to transfer in USDC.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- An Axal account
- USDC on one of the following networks: Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Monad, or Polygon.
- A wallet or exchange that can send USDC on one of the above networks.
Secure your wallet
Section titled “Secure your wallet”We highly recommend you secure your wallet with biometrics (Face ID) or Multi-factor Authentication (Passkey or Authenticator app).
- Go to Profile.
- Click on Biometrics + Enable for Face ID.
- [ALTERNATE] Click on Multi-factor authentication + follow instructions for passkey for Authenticator app.
Deposit with crypto wallet
Section titled “Deposit with crypto wallet”Depositing with crypto has two methods you can choose from: copy the wallet address and initiate the transaction in your external wallet interface or scan the wallet QR code to initiate the transaction in your external wallet interface.
- From the Deposit view, choose Crypto Transfer.
- Select your preferred blockchain network.
- Scan the QR code or copy wallet address into your external wallet withdrawal page.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Deposit not showing? Verify the transaction hash by logging into the desktop/browser interface and clicking View on Explorer. The value of your corresponding transfer should show under Token Holdings.

- Sent on the wrong network? Contact support (email hello@getaxal.com) with the transaction hash so the team can advise on recovery options.
- Note: Axal sponsors all gas costs for transactions within the Axal app, not external wallet transactions.
